NEW THERAPIES

We are pleased to announce that once again we have added new modalities to help our ever-expanding clientele. As we continue to strive towards natural and holistic HEALING, we are always seeking to develop our skills to cater to YOU.

We have added 3 new modalities to serve the community of health-conscious individuals who seek healing and pain reduction. These modalities require the active participation of YOU in YOUR own healing journey. As many injuries don't happen overnight; the journey to mend them WON'T either. So, if you are looking for a quick fix to whatever ails YOU, I might suggest you seek another facility.

*GUA SHA: A traditional Chinese healing method in which a trained professional uses a smooth-edged tool to stroke your skin while they press on it. This motion raises small, red, rash-like dots that show under your skin called petechiae. People use gua sha to treat chronic pain all over their body. They often do it alongside other complementary treatments like herbal medicine, massage, acupuncture, and heat therapy.

At first, they'll gently use the tool on your skin. Gradually, add more pressure to the strokes. They’ll only apply as much pressure as you’re comfortable with. This process is believed to help blood flow and create a “lifting” effect on your skin, which some say may help lessen toxins in your body and promote healing.

*KINESEO TAPING: The Kinesio Taping® Method is a therapeutic taping technique that alleviates pain and facilitates lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin. This lifting effect forms convolutions in the skin increasing interstitial space and allowing for decreased inflammation in affected areas. Based upon research and years of clinical use, The Kinesio® Taping Method specifically applies Kinesio tape based on evaluation and assessment to dictate a specific application. Kinesio® Tex Tape applications can be applied in hundreds of ways and have the ability to reduce pain and inflammation, promote post-surgical healing, optimize performance, prevent injury, promote good circulation, and assist the body’s natural healing process. Known for its groundbreaking education for over 40 years Kinesio now introduces Kinesio Medical Taping. Kinesio University has all-new Kinesio Medial Taping courses on how to apply Kinesio tape to the microlayers at the surface of the epidermis. Kinesio Medical Taping applications are designed by Dr Kenzo Kase® and are a whole new way to achieve optimal patient results. Kinesio Medical Taping is a future generation of treatment using Kinesio taping applications that can stimulate the epidermis at a cellar level.

*IASTM: Instruments effectively break down fascial restrictions and scar tissue. The ergonomic design of these instruments provides the clinician with the ability to locate restrictions and allows the clinician to treat the affected area with the appropriate amount of pressure. The introduction of controlled microtrauma to affected soft tissue structure causes the stimulation of local inflammatory response. Microtrauma initiates the reabsorption of inappropriate fibrosis or excessive scar tissue and facilitates a cascade of healing activities resulting in remodeling of affected soft tissue structures. Adhesions within the soft tissue which may have developed as a result of surgery, immobilization, repeated strain or other mechanisms, are broken down allowing full functional restoration to occur.
